Within the USA

usparalympics - U.S. Olympic Committee's Paralympic Division, formed in 2001, coordinates the preparation and selection of athletes to the U.S. Paralympic Teams for summer and winter games.

usoc - U.S. Olympic Committee; DAAA is a USOC member organization.

ds/usa - Disabled Sports USA provides the opportunity for individuals with disabilities to gain confidence and dignity through participation in sports, recreation and related educational programs, and has chapters in 37 states (AK, AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, ID, IL, IN, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WA, WI, WV, WY).

ws/usa - Wheelchair Sports USA is directed and developed by wheelchair athletes and wheelchair sports enthusiasts themselves, individuals with a first-hand understanding to the values of participation. The organization offers memberships to individuals and clubs as well as college and military programs throughout the nation.

cpisra - Cerebral Palsy International Sports and Recreation Association, a member of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), provides boccia rules and regulations that are followed at DAAA, World, and Paralympic competitions.

nod - National Organization on Disability proposes to expand the participation and contribution of America’s 54 million men, women and children with disabilities in all aspects of life.

glasa - Great Lakes Adaptive Sports Association promotes and supports the optimal development and well being of youth and adults who have a primary physical or visual impairment through the provision of inclusive recreational, fitness and competitive sports activities and to offer opportunities for empowerment through education, leadership and training in collaboration with community-based organizations.

blazesports - The BlazeSports America organization strives to advance the lives of youth and adults with physical disability though sport and healthy lifestyles.

Palaestra - Forum of sport, physical education and recreation for those with disabilities; established in 1984; offers a quarterly publication on adapted physical activity, published in cooperation with United States Paralympics (USP), a division of the United States Olympic Committee (USOC); the Adapted Physical Activity Council (APAC) of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance (AAHPERD); and the Education Committee of the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA).

LA Breakers - The Los Angeles Breakers is a team that plays Fundraising Basketball games all over Southern California against schools, police departments, non-profit clubs and organizations. Contact David Guzman for more information.

NY Towers - The New York Towers basketball team is available to play charity games. For information about trying out for the team, challenging the team to a game, arranging a charity event, or sponsoring the team, contact Clinton Brown, President and General Manager.

Amy Roloff Charity Foundation - In 2009, Amy founded the foundation to raise funds for DAAA as well as other deserving charities in her community around Portland, Oregon. FDSW - Federation of Disability Sport Wales

EFDS - English Federation of Disability Sport is the umbrella organisation responsible for developing sport for disabled people in England.

DSE - Disability Sport Events is the events division of the English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS).

Mary Peters Trust - Province-wide Northern Ireland organisation which can assess sporting need and provide help to individuals from all recognized sports.

BDAA - British Disabled Angling Association provides fishing information and opportunities for disabled people.

IFI - Inclusive Fitness Initiative is a programme that supports the fitness industry to become more inclusive, catering for the needs of disabled and non-disabled people alike. Through a range of projects and products the initiative has supported facilities across England to create an inclusive service, increasing participation by disabled people.

DTSGB - Disability Target Shooting Great Britain aims to develop links between disabled shooters competing in able-bodied shoots with able-bodied shooters and governing bodies, and involving able bodied coaches in the training of disabled shooters.

2009 Brooklyn Galleries - Gary Parker has provided 15 galleries of portraits and photos taken at DAAA National Games and LPA National Convention events. Use the password littlepeople (one "word" with no spaces) to view all the galleries and order photo prints or photo-merchandise. Proceeds from online sales will be used to finance photography at the 2010 Nashville DAAA Games and LPA National Convention.

LPC - Little People of Canada is concerned with the need for people of small stature to become useful members of society through education, employment and social adjustment, and to focus public attention to the fact that the magnitude of any physical limitation is a function of attitude of both the small and the average-sized person and desire to assist in these matters.

DVF - Danish Dwarf Association offers support and counseling to short statured people and their families, and provides general information on all aspects of dwarfism.

CoDA - Coalition for Dwarf Advocacy advocates for the rights and benefits of individuals with short stature in the areas of medicine, vocation, education, adoption, and public accommodation.

aclu - The American Civil Liberties Union provides representation in courts, legislatures and communities to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties that the Constitution and laws of the United States guarantee everyone in the country.

TSA - U.S. Transportation Security Administration provides equitable special needs screening at airports for persons with disabilities and their associated equipment, mobility aids, and devices (memo, Changes in Allowances for Persons with Disabilities at Airport Security Checkpoints).

AAPD - American Association of People with Disabilities organizes the disability community to be a national voice for change in implementing the goals of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Recreation

Painted Turtle Camp - The Painted Turtle Camp is the sixth addition to actor and philanthropist Paul Newman’s family of Hole in the Wall Camps for seriously ill children. It is also the only multi-disease, multi-condition camp and family care center of its kind on the West Coast.

CLP - Camp Little People is for children with dwarfism between the recommended ages of 5 thru 17, and their families. Camp is held annually during the second weekend of June at Camp Victory located in Millville, PA.

LP Spacecamp - Space Camp for Little People is a fully accessible Space Camp Program, designed around the Pathfinder program at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center located in Huntsville, AL.
