Sport managers are also looking for volunteers to help, if you are interested in helping with a particular sport (training, coaching, team support), also contact Lucy.

Powerlifting Manager, Chris Kostas

  • Athletes must be at least 16 years of age to compete in powerlifting.
  • Athletes are classified into groups by weight.

Powerlifting Manager - Chris Kostas

Hi everyone, I’m very excited to be back involved with DAAA.  I am grateful for Lucy giving me this opportunity to serve as Powerlifting Manager again.

Things are certainly different these days regarding communication.  We have so much available to us than videotaping our training to send back and forth to check on form and technique.  I want to let everybody know that I am available via phone, text, You Tube, Face Time, Skype or any other creative way.   From beginning lifters to our veteran athletes, feel free to contact me for any and all questions you might have about the great sport of powerlifting anytime.

I would encourage anyone interested to keep on checking our website frequently to see upcoming regional events that could also include powerlifting seminars and of course, plan on competing in the DAAA Worlds November 2017.  Look for competition results to be posted regularly so you can look at your standings or cheer on your friends!  And if your goal is the 2020 Paralympics, to be held in Tokyo, Japan, it is never too early to begin a game plan.  Representing the USA in such an amazing event is truly an honor and very life changing.
I look forward to seeing ‘old friends’ and making new ones,

Chris Kostas
